(no subject)

I woke up half an hour before my alarm, and decided to put music on, and I got up and danced around the room for 15 minutes straight. And I went to my lectures, and I arranged to have my resit on Wednesday, and I was kind of giddy at people, and now I am sitting singing along to Alanis.

This would be me swinging the other way after my big downer yesterday. It's fun. Vaguely unnerving. But I have been exaggerating and just going with it. So. Fun.

Something I thought of (fic concept involved punchbags and thus remembered skinning my knuckles on one) made me realise why I quit Taekwon-do. Well, the physical exertion and the expense and the disorganisation that was the soc in my second year all had something to do with it. But the quasi-military aspect made my skin crawl. The bowing and the not-swearing and the sir-yes-sirring. I understand that it's meant to show respect, but my leftie contrary little soul did not like it one bit. Didn't help that the guy was a bit of an asshole about it.

I should eat something other than chocolate and other junk or I will have a crash and that would not be fun. I will go do that.

the sir-yes-sirring

Yeah, that's one reason I didn't keep up karate after I left Wolverhampton. I could just about put up with it from Craig who was a soft, daft Australian, but from someone who took it too seriously it would just stick.
