Been reading DW books, and... Eight is a bit of a cunt, isn't he?

He's... probably even more manipulative than Seven, but it's hidden behind the guilelessness and prettiness and naivete. There's a vulnerability that comes with the whole amnesia arc, maybe a correlation to baptism and rebirth that gives this kind of purity, the sense that he's the one that needs protected... Even without that, the way he's described adds into it - I seem to recall him being described as having a "Botticelli face", his skin is pure and pale, he doesn't wear aftershave, even the curly hair adds to the softness, and then there's this whole other side that does what is necessary and is always fifty steps ahead of everyone else and... guh. I dunno.

He's, like, sooo not The Doctor in The Books. None of them are, really. I mean seriously, when you stop and compare with the kitschfest that The Telly actually is...

Still can't breathe over the "Botticelli face". Does it include the cracks?
