so, even though it's now Saturday, because I slept through three-quarters of Friday, I'm doing the
Friday Five
1. Do you wear any jewelry? What kind?
I can never decide if watch and glasses count. Hmm. A pendant - a "bronze" beetle, over my heart, on a cord. Silver rings, on my right hand, normally ring finger, sometimes index as well. Earrings - studs, small silver hoops, sometimes drops - depends. Bangles on my right wrist - black rubber, silver, other things like spiked leather.
2. How often do you wear it?
The beetle, always. Rings when my fingers feel naked without them, which is most of the time, earrings almost always, bangles when I feel like it. Occasionally, for going out, other things - more necklaces, chokers, ear cuff.
3. Do you have any piercings? If so, where?
One in left ear, three in right - last two done on Tuesday.
4. Do you have any tattoos? If so, where?
No. I keep thinking about it, but I can't find one that feels exactly right, you know? And I don't want one unless it's right.
5. What are your plans for the weekend?
revise. sleep some more. read some more fic. boring, really.
and also, because I'm bored and I really ought to start revising for exams, I'll do the
last ten fics I wrote, bar drabbles
Guilt
First line: The light on the camera blinked out, and Oneesan allowed her smile to
drop.
Last line: She knew she would hear them for the rest of her life.
The Strong One
First line: "He needed my help, but I was helpless..."
Last line: I'll protect you in his place.
Ice
First line: Ensign Sato had requested her assistance in meditation, T'Pol coolly
informs him at the start of her next shift.
Last line: Perhaps, instead, he will freeze.
L'chaim
First line: Suddenly, he is older than his sister, and her smiling face in the
photograph by his bed seems to him a mockery of every day of his life
since she left.
Last line: The next day, he buys a new frame; the only remaining evidence is the
mark on his hand.
Seduction
First line: He rubs his thumb across the soft skin of her inner wrist, and she
blushes a little.
Last line: He snaps the bellboy's neck as he goes.
Thawing
First line: Draco wakes, wrapped in warmth, and stares uncomprehendingly at the
red curtain a foot from his nose.
Last line: With Gryffindor blankets above him, his as-yet-unspoken affection
thawing his heart, and the warm body of the Boy Who Won – the boy he
killed to protect – below him, Draco is finally warm again.
Marking
First line: Not all of his scars are mine.
Last line: ‘Cause Wes is mine now, and I am never letting him go.
Winter's Beginning
First line: "He said I bore his mark.
Last line (so far - this is a WIP, and just not writing at all well): And that's enough.
