Note to self: never do that again. In the evenings, at least nice ones like this, the road to Tesco is fraught with children and teenagers. And I was wearing a mismatched freak of an outfit. Just got looks, mostly, and one boy asked for my number. Came back with chocolate, mango sorbet and shitty alcopops. And a bag for life because the ones they had have leaves on and are quite pretty, I think, and it's only the second one I have.

Mmm... mango.

I had a proper conversation with some locals t'other day. Friends of stepsister. They did not jeer, and it was quite nice.

The children and teens sounds nicer than the ones here. Here they just tear down the streets at around 60 and shoot the finger at people.

Alcopops are alcoholic lemonade, basically, though this one's orange. Stuff like Smirnoff Ice.

That interests me. Is this what people's brains think about my subject?

Probably. Yes. 'eval for most folk, me included, is something of a conglomeration of Robin Hood movies and Arthurian stuff, all lords and ladies and chivalrous knights and downtrodden peasantry. Students of such are a bit odd, and it seems the only fun part can be dressing up and playing with swords. At least, I assume that's the thought process, I could be talking bollocks.

I think so. Lord of the Rings was mentioned. Also, um, naked dancing at Glastonbury. That confused me. Those poor boys have lived in Highfield for far too long. Someone should take them to, um, dance naked at Glastonbury or something. Even if they do get arrested...
