Sep. 21st, 2004 06:58 pmHave discovered the computer room in hall. It is all right. But the first computer I tried would not let me log on, and there are a couple that are not working, and the one I am currently at has the screen tilted down and I can't make the chair go down so I'm hunched, and of course I just came from dinner and feel a bit sick. gah.
but. anyway. I got up for lunch, and went out - didn't do anything, just sat replying to emails and then went and bought baking supplies, but it beats sitting in my room all day. I think.
and tomorrow I will go out and do things. and the next day I see my adviser, and possibly matriculate. and the day after may see 'nando coming my way. may not. and there is stuff. and I really ought to sort through my folders and start revising but I cannot be arsed.
and I have read a whole pile of famous five and other Enid Blyton books (have them to pass on to sororal for her Brownies) and I really shouldn't, especially because they're just all the same! I'm actually starting thinking of a crossover between two minor series: "The Secret..." and "The ... Of Adventure" because they both have a boy named Jack who is an orphan. One hangs out with a boy and his two sisters, and they lived on an island by themselves and go on to have adventures, occasionally involving the three's parents, and they rescue and befriend a kidnapped prince. The other has a sister and they hang out with another brother-sister pair (who have a mother in the background) and have adventures (often with a man called Bill, who turns out to be polis, and eventually marries the mother) and then the boy who is on holiday with them turns out to be a prince and all of them except Jack are kidnapped. Wait, why am I... I remember all this shite, but obviously stuff that'll help me pass exams isn't worth it.
and have started a large embroidery kit, which will be a christmas present, but probably next year. or later.
gah. too many people, and. stuff.
