So there's
this, which
nostalgia_lj pointed me to, and it's funny. It's shitty story notes. I laughed.
Except one of them is mine. The one that can't tell the twins apart. That's me. And that hurt. I tried to explain in a comment, but I don't think I did very well at it, and. I just.
I'm
proud of that fic, dammit, and the fact that somebody didn't even take a look at what I think of as one of my best fics because I wrote a story note in a slightly abbreviated style that we commonly use, and because I admitted to having difficulty with the characterisation, and because, yeah, maybe I was a little insane when I wrote it but it's not like it was "omglol this suxor but read it anyway", the fact that she didn't, that hurts.
And it really doesn't help that she's a writer I've admired for a while in all of her fandoms and I seem to recall enthusiastically feedbacking, though I could be wrong.
And there was a little more to the comment, quoted as
Hi. Am usually quiet, but have fic that wrote that am quite proud of. Is a Weasley twin. I think it's George. Might not be, though, since I don't usually write them and I can't always tell them apart. which I would add here but yahoo is being a whore, to the effect that I often have difficulty telling quite random people (read "muses", which I don't like using because I just don't think of them that way) apart, so it's not really a surprise that I would have difficulty with the twins.
Because, honestly, they're identical cardboard cut-outs in canon, so what the hell's a girl to do?
