(no subject)

I think it must have been one of you lot that mentioned Tamora Pierce, because it's such a random thing it must be... but I found Wild Magic in a charity shop today - I think it caught my eye because I recognised the author's name - and I just read it, and dude! I want the rest! 'cause, 'cause... dude! yeah, it's a kids' book. and? It has magic and angst and... griffins! and all sorts of animals and they actually have personalities and... also, the monsters are dead scary.

So, yeah. I will have to get the rest at some point.

The round of charity shops also provided three ties, three random CD singles for a pound, a couple of small presents, Veronika Decides To Die which I had considered buying in a proper bookshop before I realised it was "uplifting" and "life-enhancing", and a huggy jumper. It's several sizes too big for me and soft and warm and, y'know, huggy.

In other news, my dad was unexpectedly made redundant today. Three months pay in lieu of notice. It's just... he's worked for them for over thirty years, y'know? Also, he was in charge of their computer security and mentioned the possibility of posting all their passwords on the internet.

Um, is that all? *shrugs* don't really care.
