Draco has one of that mudblood Creevey's early photographs. Some kid Slytherin had been looking at it, and Draco had taken it away, explaining in very small words about the dignity of the house and staying away from Muggle filth and those who loved it. He had slipped the photo into his pocket, and kept it.

It doesn't even move, for pity's sake. He certainly shouldn't risk it being found in his possession. But the Heroic Trio are laughing, leaning companionably together, and the smile on Potter's face is utterly unself-conscious. His eyes are so bright.

He'll burn it tomorrow.

Brunette -- story

Wrote this a couple of months ago (well, first part was a year or two ago, the rest was over one night at the beginning of December) for a short story competition - didn't win. It has some flaws but it's too emotional for me to change it, so. Here 'tis.
