Feb. 7th, 2004 10:53 pmChildren. Are. Not. Stupid.
They're not. A thirteen-year-old - thirteen! - will not be pushed into confessing a crime because a policeman tells her a secret of his own and says he feels so much better now he's told someone and it feels nice and does she have any secrets that she'd like to tell so she can feel better?
A ten-year-old understands death. Understands killing.
It just... this program was on, and there was a girl who had killed a little boy, and it just really gets to me when they act like children are stupid. Because they're not.
I know. I used to be one.
