And hmm. Interesting. The thing about the sedatives makes a lot of sense, actually. My immediate response to 'pills' is either standard paracetamol/aspirin/whatever or my anti-depressants, which come as a largish capsule. In that fic it was anti-deps, iirc.
There should be a discussion, or at least an lj poll. I can only really see Rodney doing it if he was in a situation like Gaul was, if he could definitively see himself as a burden. And do something definitive about it - gun or opening-wormhole or something.
