I have finished a week of work. Huzzah.

Today was odd. I was going to go shopping in town, and sis told me about a lunchtime concert she was going to, so I went along, and met some of the choir, because G sings with them, but thought she would be elsewhere this weekend.

So I wound up singing at the wedding that afternoon. Short singthrough beforehand. Nine of us, wearing cassocks, sitting through this wedding, and occasionally singing. So, yes, odd. But we got paid. Then went to the pub, and I wandered off, and got a few t-shirts and a pair of jeans, but not the monthly ticket which was the real reason I was going shopping in the first place, so I'll have to go into town after work on Monday and try again.

Eventually we came home and watched the second half of Flash Gordon. I always forget that Brian Blessed - not to mention the rest of the Hawkmen - wears very short shorts and leather braces, as well as the wings. I think the horror just blanks it out.

Then it was time for Dr Who.

That song is stuck in my head, by the way.

Oh. John Simm. Hello. Good, good Master. Absolutely mad, but still brilliant, and it works like whoa. But he hurt the TARDIS, which is obviously unforgivable. (Really. I whimpered.)

The "secret brother" line made me laugh. The Doctor needed smacked upside the head at least a couple of times. Martha was good and I hope she really kicks ass next week. The phone sex was good for me.

O, who was the reporter woman? She looked familiar but I can't quite snag it.

Um. Um. I liked. I liked a lot. I am squee. I will be watching it again tomorrow.

Of course, it's all the Doctor's fault for deposing Harriet Jones. Oooooooooh. Maybe she'll get her job back now.

According to IMDB, the BBC newsreader was in an episode of the 'Sarah Jane Adventures', the US one has been in in a couple of other New-Who eps, if that helps! The Beeb-woman did look really familiar.

I don't think it is bad if it makes you happy.

Unless making you happy also entails ripping apart space and time and decimating the Earth's population.

Not really familiar with British politics so I'm not really sure if that is part of her platform.
