He told us his pen broke so he didn't have an actual setlist prepared, and just made it up as he went. And he forgot the chords for the chorus of When You Go, and was standing there experimenting to find the right one. And we got to sing about brains.

Annnnnnd he was drinking Irn Bru, and there were a couple of exchanges about that. One guy called out, "No workin' while yer on the Bru!" which raised a chuckle, and then the reply was, "I don't know what you just said, but it sounded funny." And he said it tasted like bubblegum.

And he mentioned his five-week-old kid. And described the process of an encore in advance, describing it as a play we were all going to put on. And had trouble with the tuning of his guitar (once fixing a peg during a song). And was generally entertaining.

So that was fun.
