Also, there's the nicely referential thing of Manny played by Bill Bailey working for guest character Evan played by Simon Pegg, when in Spaced the situation was reversed. And, um. Yeah. Though it was comic shops, and BB was actually the preferred boss.
Simon Pegg was damn scary here, though. And since
edithmatilda was sitting calling him "Fitz" it was somewhat disconcerting.

They were quite consciously using the language of a romantic relationship between Bernard and Manny, but at the same time, their domesticity is just beauteous, so it's forgiven.
