I am teh kewl, yo.
Well, not really, but I've got, like, 12% of essay done, and it's only due, um... well, he wants a first draft Friday since submission is next Friday but it's cool! that's only 2600 words tomorrow and the same again Thursday! that's no problem! *headdesk* No, but, first draft, so chop off a thousand or two, and I might get a little more done tonight, and all I did tonight was ramble on about pretty basic stuff and when I get into the stuff that the essay's actually about I can sit and be detailed no really I can honest.
Anyway, I did that. And my genderswap fic is at, like, 2000 or so? I'm using it as reward, because I'd written 700 words this afternoon so I was, like, "no, have to write 700 words of essay before can go netterize" and I did!
And in between that I went to a Bollywood dance class, which was horrendously fun but also very tiring, and quite annoying actually because the dance she was teaching us did not go with the beat very much and I can step on-beat or off-beat or even triplets if I have to, but I cannot do dancing-vaguely-related-to-music-honest. So. But it was all jumpy, and flicky hands, and cool. Though I will have forgotten it all by the next class which is a fortnight away.
Excuse my randomness, plz.

Date: 2004-10-20 04:44 pm (UTC)Best way is to fly - you can get some fairly cheap flights, then the bus goes from the airport right into Reykjavik.
I was attempting to minimise costs so was staying in youth hostels - the City hostel is actually quite nice, though it gets booked up quite early for busy times.
There's a Reykjavik tourist website that seemed quite good, information-wise, can't recall addy offhand but I'm sure it's googleable.
if you want to know more, just ask.

Date: 2004-10-22 11:37 am (UTC)Sea travel takes about twenty hours and I heard is not that much cheaper than air, but do not know. Hostels cost around twenty quid a night, iirc, not including breakfast which I think is not worth getting.
www.tourist.reykjavik.is is the site.
I think Skaftafell, where I spent most of my time, is pretty much closed in winter out of weather-ness. But it's ways away from Reykjavik anyway.
