managed to hand over the chatroom, thank god. yay me!
and I posted another M/K, though it's a short one this time. it just took over my brain and itched at me to write it until I did.
Knowing
“You knew, and you left him,” Mulder accused. He slammed the door on the way out of the office, taking out his frustrations on the woodwork to avoid assault of a senior agent. Skinner had known. He was sure of it.
Mulder cast his mind back a few days as he stormed down the corridor. He had thought that his initial hallucinations were pure wish-fulfilment. The way the focus of the illusions had changed at around the time they believed Scully had entered the hallucinatory coma seemed to bear that out. But now…
It had been so perfect.
Krycek had followed him into the cave, hissing and spitting at him when Mulder got the upper hand in the fight, then grinning with triumph when the older man’s arousal became clear. From the moment their mouths first clashed, they had ceased thinking and become mere creatures of instinct. Clothes had been ripped away and they had been greedy for each other, wringing out as much sensation in as little time as possible.
For a moment, the tactile memory of Krycek’s hair sliding against his grasping hands itched against his palms. He spun and slammed them against the nearest wall, extending the spin to keep striding towards his office with barely a hitch in his forward progress.
In the safety of his basement home-from-home, Mulder stopped. He sank to the floor, and cried.
On the desk in Skinner’s office lay the photo of another mysteriously denuded skeleton, with most of the left arm missing.

Ladyluck says:
kbk, you posted two? I only read one
kbk says:
yeah, I just posted it
Candace says:
I like it when a story is short but packs a punch.
kbk says:
it's only short, but it itched at my brain until I wrote it
Ladyluck says:
Now I have to go read it!
Kozha says:
it was excellent, kbk
kbk says:
thank you
Ladyluck says:
Oh yeah, that was good!
Ladyluck says:
So sad, though
Ladyluck says:
But great twist
Candace says:
But that's talent...pack in emotions in just a few kb.
kbk says:
I just got the image, and I had to do it
Ladyluck says:
kbk, are you new to M/K, or just new to the Cube?
kbk says:
new to M/K, really
Ladyluck says:
Cool
Kashmir says:
just finished "Knowing" as well - excellent work kbk!
Kashmir says:
so very sad
kbk says:
thank you...
kbk says:
I like doing sad, it just... it's fun.
Ladyluck says:
I can't do sad, I'm too much of a wimp
Kashmir says:
I think it is impressive you can write like that on so little sleep!
Tyler says:
kbk "Knowing" is Fantastic!
Ladyluck says:
Really!
Kashmir says:
my brain would be mush
kbk says:
sometimes sleep deprivation helps my writing - strange but true
Tyler says:
Great job. This is exactly the type of story I love. I'm into short fics
Kozha says:
yeah, that's the story I wish I could've written...
Tyler says:
Because I think you should be able to say anything in a few paragraphs. This was wonderful
kbk blushes profusely
and yeah, I'm sleep-deprived, and this is probably about the extent of the fb I'll get on this, and goddamnit I deserve this! hey, egostroke...
