Jun. 9th, 2005 11:09 pmInternet was broke for most of the day, which was vaguely traumatising. But I spent the whole morning walking to the airport and back in order to get needles (three) stuck in my arm - the aforementioned jags for travelling. And paying £145 for the privilege. Um. Sigh.
I just watched "House" on C5 and, and, damn! I only get two more episodes before I bugger off! (unless of course I find it online. Otherwise I will just have to wait until I come back and, I dunno, find it elsewhere.) But. Eee! I've been reading fic for a couple of weeks, and I had a fair handle on who-was-who, what-was-what, but actually seeing it? Eee. And of course an extensive quote list doesn't equate to transcripts, and there just wasn't a false note as far as I was concerned. Even the inscription in the card was just right. And. Yes.
Also, they didn't keep using each other's names, which is something that occasionally gets on my nerves on TV. ("Why yes Dr Blah, I agree. Dr Blah, you're brilliant. Dr Blah, wanna fuck?") Well, House got plenty of name-checks, but the rest of them were just once or twice. Which was cool. Because it's not like they're not all instantly identifiable in a two-word description. Though that does, unfortunately, leave Dr Wilson as "the other guy." Which irks me somewhat, given that in my mid-teens that actor was very high on my 'pretty' list.
God, I loved "Much Ado About Nothing." The Beatrice/Benedick thing is a favoured template of mine, but mostly? It was the assorted pretty. Mmm. I should watch it again, if I can find it.
Ooh. Kinda foggy. Two glasses of wine, more exertion and less caffeine than usual... half-eleven... estoy cansada...
