non-gratuitous icon post

kbkI got 69% for my essay, which is better than I expected, but they said it was a "good science essay". my first comment in the self-assessment was, "there's barely any science". so there are some differences of opinion here, but since their opinion was better, I'll accept it.
dad called, but this is good, because he told me how Lena is (much-loved great-aunt, had a heart-attack, was paralysed down left side) and she is recovering well and stood up for the first time today, so that's damn good news and makes me very happy. *loves Lena* - she is fab, she's the sort that feeds you loads and is always happy to see you and is just a lovely person. and I don't see her very often but it's always a good thing when I do. so.
been posting "of the pack" around the place. have not done much else.
got icon from nostalgia. she stole my 'nando to do stuff and ended up making lots of icons. was tempted by a couple of the others, so may change mind later. hmm. do not know. but anyway.
may have decided on a topic for my talk, one and a half days before I have to! I think that's quite impressive. talk itself is in three weeks or so. oh joy.
but I'm quite happy at the moment so I'll leave it there.
