This is how it works: Comment on this entry and I will give you a letter. Write ten words beginning with that letter in your journal, including an explanation what the word means to you and why, and then pass out letters to those who want to play along.
Renfrew - weak, I know, but it's where I live now.
Rangers - it's not that I care, right? but they're one of the two big football teams around here, and there's the whole sectarian thing going on, and it's just unavoidable. So, yeah, that actually connotes violence and trouble.
Revolution - or, more properly, De revolutionibus orbium coelestium by Copernicus. One of the huge historic works in astronomy, and in science as a whole. I've heard that this is where the usage of revolution to mean an upheaval or great change originates; in the title, of course, it refers to circular movement.
Runes - I made myself a set, once. Out of clay. And I have one tattooed on my ankle, among other things. One of those things I keep being interested in but never actually learn about. Because I like the stories, like the Old Norse legends and such, but...
Rebus - those stupid little picture-word puzzles. They're fun. And, uh, more like an emblem for my twisty brain.
Reading - ah, this should be top of the list. My favourite hobby. Some of my earliest memories relate to reading, like testing with a reading age of twelve when I was half that. And, y'know, I wouldn't even be on lj if not for it, because I wouldn't write if I didn't read.
Religion - oh boy. One of those things you just don't talk about. So. I don't got religion. I don't get religion. I'm cool with people that do as long as they don't try to foist it on me. End of discussion.
Rhythm - I got. Music's a big thing for me. I'm one of those people that has trouble walking out of time with whatever music's playing. I mean, it amazes me when I meet people that don't have rhythm, because everyone has a heartbeat, everyone breathes, there's a basic back-beat to everything. How can people ignore it?
Reason - in the sense of logic and rationality. It's what separates us from the animals! kinda. The ability to reason is precious, and it hacks me off when people fail to use it. Hacks me off hardcore.
Rebel - is what I wanna be. I want to be out of the ordinary. I fail, of course. There's an important place in society for the rebel, I'm sure. Whatever.
