OK, so I've been doing the DVDrental thing, and the other day I got the second disc of I-Man. And I watched the first disc before that, and I quite liked it, though the production qualities were dubious - though I am thinking about the interview here, chiefly, so, whatever - and, yeah, I thought, I'll watch this. I just watched "Ralph" which is the third episode and I am all teared up. I'm actually now looking at buying the whole series. Because I lack patience.
Also, perhaps, because I am very aware that DW has one episode to go. And, god, you'd think I didn't have enough displacement activities...
And now I'm veering into selfhate again. Bugger. At least I'm consistent.
But I'm at the point where I'm even sabotaging things I enjoy. I went to bed and was on my way to sleep and was thinking about the crappy novel that is never actually going to get written, because I had a couple of ideas, I put on the computer, and I immediately went looking for fic instead of writing anything down. And I've written down a little. But it's all crap anyway so who cares?
Fuck it, fuck it, another beer and another episode and things will be better, surely.
ETA: Wah. I should have stopped after "Tiresias" because I quite liked that but "Impetus" is making me cringe. But I'm watching it now so I have to. just. watch it. Right. *deep breath* No more pausing.

Date: 2006-07-02 04:04 am (UTC)Also, Darien and Bobby (and sometimes Claire) are, like, the best OTP/OT3 evah and watching their relationships develop over the first season is fan-effing-tastic. Seriously, it's some of the better crack to come out of America lately in the past few years.
*placates*
Date: 2006-07-02 04:24 am (UTC)I didn't mean stop altogether, just stop for the night. Honest. I plan to watch. I am quite seriously considerating buyage as opposed to renting, if only because I am crap at delayed gratification.
In the interview on the last disc - which was. ack. actors, Darien and Bobby and Eberts - they were talking about how Craig Silverman basically took over the writing after half the people left, or something, and they were being very complimentary. And they talked about episodes, and said how good "Ralph" was. But I didn't expect to like it, because ew, kid, and it's a fairly-obvious storyline with so many ways it could go wrong, but then it was so good. and. *sigh*
Also, hey, "Tiresias" - "kill yourself or you will kill your family" for at least two and perhaps all of them. and Fawkes gets: "kill yourself or you will kill Hobbes" thus equating importances. In episode 4! Wowza, OTP.

I am quite proud that Vincent Ventresca (Darien) came from Indiana. He does the whole vulnerable thing far too well for his own good. And the girl they got to play Jessica was awesome.

I know! Just wait till "Flowers for Hobbes." Yowza.
