So, probably only, like, three of you are even remotely interested, but I agreed to knit a wrap for my sister for her wedding, and I've decided what yarn to use (Alpaca Silk from Debbie Bliss - sooo soft) and there's a fairly subtle pattern I like for it, but as for the rest... help? Her dress is off-white, with a couple of silver bands. I would ask her, but I already checked that aran was ok, and she has enough going on, and she said she trusted me, and, blah. I may not obey the poll, but opinions may help.

Yum, Alpaca silk!

I think rectangular is easier to wear afterwards - and I still love wearing my big cream wedding shawl as a normal scarf, even though it's seven years old and slightly shabby now!

Good point - rectangular is more multi-purpose. And it ought to be marvelously snuggly, with that yarn; I swatched it a little while ago, and when I went back to my main project (using a wool/cotton blend) my fingers were really quite disappointed.
