So, probably only, like, three of you are even remotely interested, but I agreed to knit a wrap for my sister for her wedding, and I've decided what yarn to use (Alpaca Silk from Debbie Bliss - sooo soft) and there's a fairly subtle pattern I like for it, but as for the rest... help? Her dress is off-white, with a couple of silver bands. I would ask her, but I already checked that aran was ok, and she has enough going on, and she said she trusted me, and, blah. I may not obey the poll, but opinions may help.

I couldn't find the actual one - also by Monsoon, but it was only on sale for a little while. It's similar to this dress, with more cover on the back, less pleating, and the embroidered band is straight.

This is my dress. The skirt is super-swirly, it's great.

Oooh, okay, now that I see what the wedding dress is sort of like, maybe more silver after all? So long as you can match up the thread colors, really (which, again, might be easier with silver than with cream).

I'm not so bothered about colour matching, partly because the dress is a couple of hundred miles away, and partly because I really want to use this particular yarn which is cuddly and warm. Still, decisions, decisions...

I think if you go with more silver, matching up coloring won't matter so much (whereas the cream could be more difficult because there's about two dozen shades of cream). then again, I'm terrible at matching colors/shades.
