kbkLast night - well, more or less - went to see Matrix: Reloaded. Was fun. More a "sit back and enjoy the ride" than anything else, but...
Of course she didn't die. Nobody does, not properly. It's almost like Buffy.
slashy thoughts... slashy, slashy thoughts... Agent Smith/Agent Smith, of course, or an unrequited Smith/Neo ("you imprinted on me")... Neo's practically unslashable except as an object of unrequitedness, because Trinity is just made to be absolutely perfect for him, she's stable and understanding and strong and... grr. The tension between Lock and Morpheus that they explained via Niobe could so easily be explained in a slashy fashion. Now I come to think of it, could even do unreq. Morpheus/Neo, but... Hmm. Anyway.
Fight fight fight... Lots of fighting. Impressive fighting. Over-long fighting, some over-use of (admittedly very impressive) special effects.
I liked Link. I'm worried that he might be marked for death, though I think it would be a stronger story if Zie (sp?) died instead. I liked that there was a nod back to Tank and Dozer there, as well.
The dancing that was intercut with the sex was quite impressive - reminded me of African tribal stuff, which was probably intentional. Bit too much wet-T-shirt-contest, but oh well.
I liked that they let you infer the back-story, some of the time.
The way they treated him like a god - oh yes.
After that we went to the Bop. And I danced. A lot. Then we went to S's and I didn't stay very long because the heat and the tiredness and the pot and the having-eaten-an-entire-big-bag-of-Skittles-and-another-of-Maltesers-and-nothing-else-all-day and the tiny bit of alcohol and the, just, people... um. yes. anyway.
have done a little studying. will do more. yes.
