I don't know what to buy the boy. I mean, his birthday was days ago, and I'm still browsing ebay for things. I mean, I've pretty much decided to go with the dragon thing - his chinese zodiac sign - and I keep seeing things that I would like. But I don't know if he would like them. But then, since he's into the Japanese thing a dragon netsuke would be a double whammy of things. But a little carved wooden thing that isn't even two inches high... I mean, I would think it was dinky. I don't know if he would. And if I asked him for a suggestion he'd probably mention a game or some videos or something, but that seems... I don't know. Too easy.
Then there are other ornamental dragons - not the cutesy ones, obviously, the "gothic" ones - which give you a bit more for your money. Or the knives. I know he'd appreciate a knife, I just don't want to give him one. Especially since I'd probably really really want it myself. And he's got a katana anyway, genuine from Japan, so... Or there are wallhangings which he might like...
