kbkTouch couldn't be misunderstood, couldn't be twisted to mean something other than what it was, the way words could.
That's from the fic I'm currently reading, and just... I get it, I agree, but at the same time I don't because the interpretation you... that I put on a touch is often coloured by how I'm feeling at the time, what I think the intent behind it is, any associations I have with other people touching me that way or that person touching me a different way... Taking it to an extreme, the abuse victim that can't bear to be touched by anybody, no matter how unthreatening, no matter how gently.
Oh, who am I kidding? Personal. I don't like being touched but at the same time I crave contact. I'm fucked up. Bite me.
