I couldn't get to sleep so I stayed up. This morning I went climbing. I did some bouldering and stuff then I went on the main wall going sideways and I hurt myself being dumb - I landed hard on one leg, so it sort of jammed, and is sore up to knee, on the outside. ow.

Then I came home and I slept, that was nice. Then I woke up just in time for tea, and then it was time for Dr Who.



A "yay!" for Mickey showing up.

I laughed at Jack winking - I'd forgotten Rose wouldn't know - ha ha!

When the Tardis was sinking, I scrambled down to sit on the floor in front of the telly.

"Exterminieren!"

Various bouncings through the climactic scene, naturally.

"But what about Jake, Mickey?" I asked. What's Jake supposed to do without his partner? But then again, potential for Mickey showing up in TW, I suppose. (Jack/Mickey hug! So cute!)

For Bad Wolf Bay, I was pacing, and making gagging sounds, and yes I did screech "ewww!" when they. ew.

And then I got all sniffly. And I stayed sniffly to the end. And still am, a bit. *sniff* I'm glad they didn't actually kill her, but, they kind of did. And now - I mean - y'know?

I think it was almost worse then killing her. They killed who she could be. They destroyed everything she became after The Runaway Bride and she may never get to be that again. I cried. A lot.

Glad I'm not the only one gagging at the Bad Wolf Bay stuff. Ew.

They did just completely erase her character arc. I think what really bugs me, at the moment, is her complete lack of agency in the whole thing: Donna doesn't get to make a choice. I don't think she would have chosen to give up those memories. The Doctor takes them from her, and yes, I see why, yes, anything is better than dying... yes, she seems happy, and maybe things will go better for her with her family knowing what she's capable of and respecting her a bit more, but. It should be Donna's choice, and instead she's a victim of circumstance and manipulation.

And I can't see how anybody who thought about it for more than ten seconds could be happy about that stuff. I don't know what the hell RTD was smoking.

She was begging him not to do it. She knew it was going to happen and she begged him not to. She made her choice and he took that away from her. I agree, I can see why he did it, but it wasn't what she wanted.

Donna's ending just pisses me off. And makes me cry.

I did feel very sorry for Jake. Mickey should have made one quick stop back to the other reality in order to PICK UP HIS BOYFRIEND. Ahem.

I never wrote my other-reality fic. I got all fudged in detail and timelines. And someone wrote good Jake and Mickey and I started worrying about plagiarism again.
